The Ascension of the Lord (Year C)

After forty days of appearing to His disciples with His Risen Body, the Lord is ready to ascend to the place from whence He came. His mission is now accomplished. There has been much anguish and suffering along the way. But today’s feast reminds us that the Lord is returning to the Father in Heaven as a victor.
